Gary Porter is the CEO of facilities Advisors and oversees services worldwide. Services include reserve studies, capital budgets, and maintenance consulting, including maintenance plans. Facilities Advisors has been recognized as the thought leader for the reserve study profession since 1982 as he was one of the first to enter this “new” industry. Mr. Porter has led the reserve study industry in evolving into a true profession by developing structured, professional level standards, a knowledge-based credential, and structured, required education.

In the community association industry Facilities Advisors has worked with condominium, homeowners, and timeshare associations throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico, plus other countries. Outside the community association industry we have performed capital budgeting services for governmental, nonprofit, and commercial organizations. Facilities Advisors pioneered the concepts of using maintenance data to improve the reserve study process. We partnered with a technology company to create the popular Facilities 7 facilities management software system.
